Superstar Express at Birkenhead
After departing Larne for the final time on the 22nd of September 2004, the Superstar Express headed for her usual winter hibernation in the wet basin at the A&P ship repair yard in Birkenhead.
Larne Ferry Web reader Michael Bracken caught up with the former Larne based fast ferry on the 26th of September in the wet basin with the company of P&O's laid up former Dover freight vessel European Seaway.

Irish Sea Shipping webmaster John Luxton also got pictures of the Superstar Express arriving on the Mersey for her Liverpool lay up on 22nd September 2004. You can access his photos via the following link.
The Superstar Express was inspected by Paris MOU inspectors in August and passed with flying colours recording no deficiencies.
