New Boats for Larne Tug Contractor
New boats are top of the agenda for Larne tug contractor John McLoughlin and Son (Shipping) Ltd. Two new line running vessels have been built for McLoughlin's by David Abels boat builders of Bristol. Built by the same yard that constructed the Larne stalwarts Sarah McLoughlin and Maria McLoughlin, the sister ships were named Leanne McLoughlin and Noleen McLoughlin before their launch at the Bristol yard in June 2005. The vessels are going through final fitting out prior to delivery by sea to the new owners. The most likely deployment for the new vessels is with McLoughlin's newly established operation in Belfast harbour.
Chris Jones forwarded a number of pictures of the new vessels taken on the 21/6/05 only a few days after their launch.
