About Larne Lifeboat Station

Larne Lifeboat station is a relatively new station in the RNLI network having been established in 1994.

Located close to the busy shipping lanes of the North Channel, Larne's lifeboats have gone to the aid of everything from ships in distress to swimmers washed out to sea.

Two lifeboats are allocated to Larne; the Trent Class All Weather Lifeboat Dr. John McSparran and the D-Class Inshore Lifeboat Hannahbella Ferguson

Both lifeboats are manned by experienced volunteer crews ready to respond to any kind of distress call in the well travelled waterways off Larne.
